Queen Mab courtesy is set in a near future Chicago in a country obsessed with safety and security following a devastating terrorist attack. Horacio ‘Tito’ Guzman is an orphan living on the streets and on the run from the State Welfare Authority. He is also afflicted with a birth defect common to children born just after the attack, so it’s hard to blend into ‘normie’ society.
He meets Charlie, a ‘fixer’ who is fond of quoting from Shakespeare. Charlie does courtesies for people who are in trouble and can’t solve their problems alone. In return he asks a reciprocal courtesy that the client is uniquely qualified to perform.
When Tito and Charlie stumble over a conspiracy involving illegal clones, it leads to questions about Tito’s long missing father, a brother he never knew and hard lessons about life loyalty and the nature of family.
